The pet tag itself is a carrier of basic pet medical information for the case of an emergency with an ID linking it anywhere in the world with the online pet record.

The online record carries all the pet owner's details, all the pet's medical information and any other information the pet owner considers to be important in the case of a pet emergency or the pet being lost.

Unique Design

The Pet Rego pet tag is manufactured from black anodised aluminium, laser engraved in high resolution with your personalized information.

The special shape allows you to either thread it onto the pet's collar (so other animals cannot bite it), or hang it on a ring attached to the collar, can also be attached with 4 nits.

Pet owner details – All the important owner information will be stored in the database and can only be viewed by the person

with the ID number from the pet tag. Pet owners can select which information they would like to be visible when pet profile

is accessed.

Pet Details – All the important description details about your pet, from the name and breed to the colour and age, will be viewable in the online profile.

Photo Identification – Many breeds of pets are very similar in appearance and identifying can be a problem if you don’t know what to look for. Every Pet Rego profile provides up to 3 photos for identifying your pet correctly, 1 main photo and 2 photos of special identification spots are recommended to use.

Vet Details - In the case of an emergency or an accident and if surgery or treatment is needed, Pet Rego provides the crucial VET contact details.

Emergency details - Allergies, medical conditions, innoculation in detail with expiry dates. You can choose to display as much information as you consider to be necesary.

Any other pet information you choose to display, even favourite food and special care instructions if needed.

Travel details - Pet travelling with you? This system works everywhere in the world!

Worried about privacy? Your information will be only accessible to a person who found your pet because our ID numbers are generated randomly, not in a sequence.

Why should I register mt pet when it's already microchipped and/or registered with the Council?

Council registration does not give you the benefits that Pet Rego provides. The Pet Rego medical tag alone can be a lifesaver – it’s not simply a tag displaying one number and the finder of your pet does not have to go through a system to contact the pet owner. The owner of the pet can provide their contact phone number on the tag if they wish to, however any other contact details are readily available by the click of a button on the profile. As mentioned above, Microchipping is only effective if the finder of your pet has a scanner with them, the time used to retrieve the information needed through the Microchipping or council registration system, can be fatal for your pet in an emergency.

Who is able to see my pet's profile and my contact details?

Only the finder of your pet (who sees the Pet Rego I.D. on the tag) can view the online pet profile. Otherwise your profile is only accessible using your username and password. You do not have to provide your phone number on the tag if you do not wish to do so.

I'm worried about my privacy!

You can choose not to display any personal details at all in the public profile, the only way they would be obtainable is by the finder of the pet contacting our office and us contacting you without revealing any of your personal details at all.

How do I change my pet's details/contact information?

You can change your pet’s details and your own contact information at any time, anywhere in the world, providing you have a current account with Pet Rego. Information can be updated at any time, using any computer or mobile phone with internet access.

What happens when my pet loses its tag?

Should your pet lose its tag, you can purchase a new tag, by logging on to your profile online. A preview of the tag can be seen online, before you accept to purchase a new tag. This ensures all details are up to date.

The details you provided Pet Rego with on your pet’s medical tag and the online profile can serve as a lifesaver if your pet is injured. A stranger may take your pet to the vet and should they not be able to contact you through the details you provided, they may still operate or save your pets life. (For example if you provided insurance details or any other contact information). In any event where your pet is injured or in a life-threatening situation, the Pet Rego system allows anyone to see your pet’s medical conditions and allergies straight away.

Can my pet's profile be found online, using  the pet's microship number if we lose the tag?

Your pet’s online profile may be viewed by entering the pet I.D. number on the pet tag or the microchip number. Should your pet’s Pet Rego tag get lost and your pet is microchipped anyone who scans your pet can enter the number in the Pet Rego system and see the full profile the same way if they use the ID number from the tag. This is why the Pet Rego system compliments the microchip and expands the value of the microchip you might already have to a comprehensive pet safety system.
